Basically all you need is a large phillip screw driver and something to pry with.

You don't need any special tools to pry the panel off. There are special trim removal tools you can get, and they just reduce the chance of you breaking a clip when prying the panel off.

Nope, no special tools required. After you remove the screws, wrap a soft cloth around a long screwdriver and use that to pry the plugs free. Just be careful not to scratch the paint.

Don't worry if you do. They are cheap and easily replaceable. They are plugs, not clips.

I found a how-to. Though it's the front (the rear isn't any different) and may not be the best of how-to's, it does the job.
