Phone cable in my glove box, what's it for ?

Hey, so i bought a used 2006 Mazda 3 in the Gold colour about three months back. Now that i have been looking around I see there is a wire in where you rest your arm on. It looks like a phone cable any idea what it is for ? It looks like the previous owner had a Sirius radio in it also.

Phone cable. If it's the male end it may have been for an amp control.

Am i missing something, how is a phone cable an ipod adapter. How would you plug that into your ipod. Or does it plug into something else first

That's definitely the bass control cable for an amp. Try looking in your trunk/back seat area to see if the other end comes out anywhere.

Sorry didn't see the link. Yeah that is exactly what it is. Bass control wire for an amp. Only some amps use this so it may not work is you put an amp in without a setup that utilizes this.

Can you contact the previous owner and ask him what exactly his setup was? And then if your interested you can get a similar set up and make use of the wires.
