Ive been rotating my winter tires front to back and back to front of the same side.
To even out thread wear Im thinking of dismounting, remounting and rebalance so I could install them on the opposite side of the car. (right to left)
Anybody in the forum have done this?

For the price of dismounting and remounting, you might as well just buy a new set of winters a season early, since you're not likely to get even that much extra out of them.
Edit: disregard above. I was thinking asymmetrical tires not directional.

Ive always switched the front and rears around (same sides).
The only time I'd dismount and remount in opposite sides is if there were signs of camber wear.

thts actually the reason why I want to do this..uneven thread wear on the inside. my alignments within specs, i was advised to be religious with my rotations. (four wheel criss-cross rotation) which I have done with my summers but obviously cant do it with winters unless I dismount,rebalanced...
to Sonicboy and default user--how did it workout for you guys when you did do this?

I've never had to do this but agree that only wear would force me to do the unmount.
