Can't control music from paired Blackberry

I have paired my Blackberry 9900 and it functions fine for both phone call and music with one exception - I can not use my stereo controls (steering wheel or in the HU) to control the songs (skip, go back, etc.). Everything is stock.

I have an iPod Touch and I'm able to control it fine.

Suggestions? Am I overlooking something?

Im assuming you're talkin about the Bluetooth connection to your BB.
I use it everyday and it works fine. I can use the steering wheel controls..

Try re-pairing it again?
Like delete the devices from both the car and the BB then pair again.

if you go into the bluetooth paired device, make sure all of the services are checked, to control the songs from the car onto the phone you need to make sure A/V remote control,audio source are checked as well if any others are not check them off as well.

BT Audio should be selected.

All were checked on and still no go. Tried repairing, no go there either. I'm beginning to think this might be a BB firmware issue.

My BB 9900 and my cars bluetooth work perfectly as well to control the music and song selections.

Has never worked for me either. The A2DP streaming works fine, but the AVRCP (remote control) doesn't work with my BB9700 with OS 5. I think I need a newer OS in the phone.

Maybe you guys should compare OS versions?

i have a blackberry bold 9000 v5.0, i know its old but still keeps up with my gfs new bold no problem.
