View Full Version : Storing Tires?

Hi everyone,
I'm about to buy a set of winter tires but I don't have anywhere to store my all seasons. I tried checking with storage unit rentals but they're rather expensive and only have the larger units available; overkill.
No family garages are feasible either :(
All suggestions appreciated! :)

+1 Most places wont charge a stroage fee, others charge $20 or something
or throw them in the basement, under your bed, GF's house...

Thank you, everyone, for your suggestions.
I will ask if vendors will store them :)
Oakville is a bit too far for me
I love the tires as a coffee table support!
I don't have a backyard but maybe I can do that on my balcony lol I can just build a small tower

If you have a balcony just stack and wrap man. It's not like you'll get a crap load of snow on them.

I had the same problem and after comparing prices from several places the most affordable one I found was Dufferin Motors & Tires on St. Clair West & Keele. The price includes changeovers which most places charged separately.

At $50 US a bit pricey but if you want to really protect and store see below.

Thanks guys. Dufferin Motors isn't too far from me. I'll give them a call :)
It'll either be Dufferin Motors or my balcony then.
Thanks for the link to the special tire covers.

I got one
But I found that when used properly - it teeter-totters a bit
I end up just stacking it on the base platform
