Need some help. Found out there is moisture inside my passenger headlight and the hid went out.
Been reading and the steps on how to bake a headlight and re-sealing it.
Do you guys have any additional information and things I should watch out for. Do not want to ruin this headlight and look for a new set for $$$.
Thanks!

What instruction do you want?
All you are doing is melting the silicone as to be able to pry the lens and the housing apart.
Theres a huge risk baking the whole headlight assembly in your moms' oven.
Not to say it hasn't been done before - but there is a lot of room for error if the temp isn't right

BTW OP:
It's possible the moisture got in through the inside socket opening, and not necessarily through the seams.
You can get clear silicone and run a bead over the current seal, without opening up the assembly. Just wipe off excess with a damp towel.
I used to do that back in the day with my mid-90's ricer-Altezza-style tails

Figured there had to be more to it.
I've only seen the oven method. Good to know a heat gun will work.

Thanks. Going toward the heat gun method to crack open the sucker. Going to pick up 2 of these and hopefully works.

Open it up and found a crack on the button left corner of the passenger headlight. Found a lot of dirt and debris in the seal where the crack originated. Fixed it but decided to buy a new/used pass. side headlight.
Anyone know where I can get a cheap one?

It is going to be tediously slow. Use a heat gun atleast.
