Has anyone here had any experience with this head unit?

http://www.smartauto24.com/2010-2011-Mazda-3-DVD-Player-w-GPS-Navigation-System-PIP-Radio-TV-Bluetooth-Bose-Sound-Touchscreen.html (http://www.smartauto24.com/2010-2011-Mazda-3-DVD-Player-w-GPS-Navigation-System-PIP-Radio-TV-Bluetooth-Bose-Sound-Touchscreen.html)

I picked on up recently but the radio area is not changeable, says it's in Europe (grayed out), cannot adjust the clock (grayed out) and when the radio channel selector (from steering wheel) only scans the the channels (doesn't stop unless I touch the screen), and doesn't actual change the presets.

I was thinking that setting up the Navigation would assist in letting the unit know where it is. The NAV knows where it is, clock time and all, but the radio section still says it's in Europe.

Maybe I'm missing something? The instructions do not describe any detailed functions, only an overview of the head unit itself.

Any help is appreciated.

TIA.

I have a very similar unit but from a different source:http://www.autodvdgps.com/7-inch-digital-touchscreen-dvd-navigation-player-with-pip-rds-bluetooth-for-2010-2011-mazda-3-p-1040.html . I can check if I still have the manual somewhere, but mine supports local nav and radio without issue.

Well, I hope the response I received from the retailer is correct about how to set up the local radio.

One thing though, does your steering wheel channel changer act as scanning buttons rather than preset channel changer with this radio?

Other thing I just remembered to ask, can you adjust the main clock? I cannot. Apparently, I am supposed to connect some yellow wire to a 12V source and when connected, supposed to allow me to change the button colours and adjust the clock.

Yes, my steering wheel channel changer acts as a scan button. I would much rather it went through the presets, but it has always been the way. As for the main clock, yes I can change this, and the button colours.

Is there a menu to change the button colours? I must assume your main clock is not grayed out as mine is, allowing you to change the clock.

It is a difficult to find menu, I recall also the ability to change the colours from the remote. Correct on the main clock.

OK, as long as there is a possibility to do it from the remote, I'll have to give it a try. Thanks for your help.

Considering picking this up as well, since it has an oem look to it.

I haven't put the radio back in yet. I have to try some suggestions that the seller provided, to resolve a couple of issues with the programming/set up. I'll post a review once I have try it again.
