Wiper Blade Problems

For a while now (esp in the cold) my wipers go nuts on auto, first it starts slow, then in about 10 seconds it's going back and forth like crazy

The other thing, and i only noticed this today, i turned off my car with the wipers at the peak position and noticed that the top of the blade it actually past the pillar on the car and sticking out.

Any idea how to fix these two issues

For the 2nd issue, you need to adjust the wiper arms. Undo the bolt and u can rotate the arms.
