i just installed my 6000k 35w HIDs from xenonexpert.com today and they flicker a bit while im driving, mostly over bumps. when the car isnt moving, the drivers side one flickers a bit but the passengers side one doesnt. is this a ballast/bulb issue?

anyone else have this problem?? solutions?? suggestions??? anything?!?!?!

Capacitors or cancellers will help fix it.

if It's a flicker over bumps only;

Double check your connections and make sure they are tight. It's possible the bulb isn't seated properly

IIRC- XD.com kits already come with the anti-flicker module (which is basically just a capacitor

i went to a local auto accessories shop tonight and they were nice enough to let me use a new warning canceller (Resistor) that plugs into the ballast, and it didnt help. so i bought a battery relay harness and ill see if that helps, if not, i can return it.. we were talking and it seems weird that its both lights doing it... if it was only one side that was flickering, then its more likely a component issue... i appreciate the help and im sure i will need some more still!

Could be a capacitor or a relay harness either or will solve the problem if your DRLs are flickering.

It's not weird at all. It happens because DRLs run at a lower power level (a pulsing on off basically) than the night time low beam setting.
without a relay harness or capacitor they are not receiving the right amount of power. This will eventually burn out your ballasts.
So get either a relay harness or a capacitor. Or disable your DRL's.

Now, if it's still doing that when on the low beam setting, then you may have a problem with the HID kit or the bulbs.

But like mazdaskit said, it has been covered extensively. So look in the lighting and electrical sections and you'll find answers to pretty much every single one of your questions on this matter.

Do 07's share DRL's with low-beams?

therein lies my problem, my DRLs are in highs, not lows. so i know my HIDs have nothing to do with my DRLs.

i think its your seating... if the bulb is loose this is what you will encounter... How long has your bulbs been replaced?

I know that you have separate high and low beams from '07 and on if that helps.

It may sound dumb but check the bulb placement. If you can jiggle the bulb while seated in the light it's not in right.

I had a flicker problem on my 07 and that was my issue. ( it looked like putting a compact florescent bulb on a dimmer switch. )

Edit. Rj3 beat me.

also if you see your lights flicker when you turn your lights on with car off, refrain from doing this... I now start my car wait for 5 seconds and turn on my lights.... flicker disappears...

One crappy part about my alarm and how it is wired is when you disarm the car your headlights turn on... i might want to have this changed as it decreases the life of your hid bulb

today i took everything apart, right down to taking the bulbs out, and everything was fine. the bulbs are in good and tight and my connections are all good. i tried the battery relay harness and it did nothing. both lights still flickering... this is frustrating...

I'm wondering now of this is a defective issue.

^ I really don't think it's your wiring. It's most likely the ballast or bad bulbs.
