So I went to get my amp and sub installed today on my 2012 GS-Sky and the guys at the shop said that they couldn't get the 4 gauge wire threw the fire wall at any point. After I sat and waited for three hours :( This included the usual spot under the steering column and I find this hard to believe. I don't think that there is anything near the glove box on the engine side and imagine you could drill here worst case scenario. However I don't really want to drill. There also doesnt seem to be any holes behind the glove box like the sticky for the stock HU instal talks about. I was originally going to do it myself but thought I'd leave my new car for the pros but it looks like that's not happening.

So has anyone installed an amp or wiring kit in a 2012 yet and if so where did you go threw the firewall and has anyone used 4 gauge?

Thanks a bunch

I tried searching but didn't find anything on the 2012's

Unfortunately he hasn't that's where I was. Jeff wanted to keep my car fo a few days to try and figure it out but its not an option for me because of my work. Definetly nice guys at the shop though

Awesome man thanks a lot. I'll give it a try hopefully the 4 gauge fits as he used 8 gauge.
