Hi All:

I seem to have the infamous click noise when I push down on the gas and also a squeak. The acceleration itself and everything is fine, just that I have these infuriating noises. This is on a 2012 GS that has only 430KMS on it.

I know there was a solution discussed here: http://www.mazda3forums.com/index.php?topic=35625.0

But have the dealerships got a better understanding of the issue now and can fix it under warranty?

Booter22 I hope you read this, I'd like to get this serviced with someone who is well known in the forums.

Thanks.

I get a click also when I accelerate. Not sure what it is. I highly doubt a dealership will know its an issue unless you point it out to them with a test drive.

That's what I am hoping to do with when I first service it....I think Booter from Budd'z Mazda has been in the forums long enough to know about this issue, so hopefully his servicing team have a better idea than most when I describe it.

hey guys, i get some noise from my pedals as well so i am sure i know exactly what you are talking about. the noise comes more so when cold and im sure if your like me it doesnt or has hardly happened when in warmer temps. the reason for the noise from what i have seen is due to the cold temperatures. the plungers on the switched and springs get cold and start to make noise.

i have seen other members who have replaced there switched and pedals but the noise came back, which is because they are the same part so unless there is a mechanical failure we can put some lubrication on them but the noise may and most likely will come back :(. i know its something i live with every day, and there is no TSB for it yet or i dont know if there ever will be as apart from the noise there is no failure in the parts them selves.

let me know if there is a day you could come by and we can have a look at the noise together, if there is no failure we can start with lubrication on the pedals, if there is a failure we will order up the parts we need.

Thanks Booter, thankfully there is no "failure", I don't even know how serious that would be in this context, something that could cause an accident?. It's just the damn noise...Not sure if I will reach 7000KMS during the meat of winter, but I will def stop by Budds to get my first servicing done. Your online help has been nothing short of exemplary... I would be an idiot going anywhere else..despite this being 22KMS out of my way :)

Hey Booter:

Take a look at the solution shown in this thread.... http://www.mazda3forums.com/index.php?topic=35625.30. Does this makes sense to you? If this is what it is...I'm sure it is an easy fix for the service department no?

i will have a look at this as soon as i am home. for some reason it doesnt want to load at work. but if it is a fix it for sure would be worthwhile to try.

I think I'm suffering from this too - it's only when i'm moving at speeds of 15-20km/h or less (generally in the underground parking lot of my office building) It's annoying but meh, if it doesn't cause my car to explode then I'll be OK with it seeing as I read that even when replaced the noises can still come back.

Let us know Booter...my friend actually tested my car out today...the dude is an auto freak and knows what he's talking about...he did feel that in my case, the car is brand new and it was bought in the winter...he said there may be a good chance after the summer, it may not come back next winter. He also did mention as you did Booter, that same lubrication or spray may just do the trick... on top of the whole car breaking itself in.
