im torn between the kenwood 448u and the jvc r820bt. A while back they were both on sale for 149.99 at best buy but when i went to pick it up every store was sold out of both. Best buy has the kenwood on sale now but i kind of like the jvc's interface..seems a bit easier. Any suggestions?

I suggest this one: CLICKY! (http://www.torontomazda3.ca/forum/showthread.php?60287-FS-04-09-in-dash-Nav-KT-6110GI-250) :)

I have the Pioneer P6200BT....its a great unit. Has 4 volt pre outs also which is really hard to find these days.....and it has BT hands free and all the other bells and whistles with it. Here's the link...see if you like it :) http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Car/CD-Receivers/DEH-P6200BT

I know the price is a little steep @ $250 fora single-din on pioneer.com, but I bought it from this website called Tech for Less. They have like new units for like $100 and It works great!

I had the the JCV ADV-794 installed in my 2010 back in Nov 2011... no complaints this far.
-MotionX GPS software works well.
-includes BT/hands free w/ voice recognition.
-2 year warranty is a bonus (a little extra peace of mind).

Alpine is the way to go. I have an iDA-305 which is a bit out of the price range you explained, but if you play a lot of music from your iPod they are amazing. I think you can get a CDA-122 or 123 for like $170. I love mine, but wish I had gotten a double DIN.

the 648u would be a much better comparison to the 820bt. I like the kenwood much more, although value for $$ the JVC will give you more. IMO though go with the kenwood you won't be disappointed.
