What is this white plastic thing behind the mesh of my 05 mazda 3 [Archive]

Hi,

Haven't been on here for awhile but anaywas, not sure if this is a problem yet but can anyone tell me what the white plastic tihngy is behind the mesh? Did something fell off?

Is it loose or is it fixed...?
I presume it is loose, otherwise I cant imagine why you would ask. There is not a whole lot of things that can fall there... take it out and see where it fits, looking above it. If nothing else, keep it for future reference in case you find where it came from so you can epoxy it back on.

I believe that's the bracket for the temperature sensor. What model 3 do you have? GS/GX? I believe all the GT's had it but not too sure being an 05.

It's fixed. Just wanted to see if something was suppose to go over top of it or something.....

my neighbour has that behind his mesh grill too on his 06 gt. but i don't have it on my 04 gt.

not sure what models and years have it but i dont have the tab on mine (04 GT) but my friend has an 07 gx and he has it. it has a sensor on it and as far as i know its the temp sensor

Hmm...thanks for the input....I don't even think my car has the temp sensor so not sure how I would have the bracket for it lol.. very weird, I guess I'll wait until some older members have an 05 GT that can chime in......
