Hey everyone
I did a bit of searching and couldn't find anything. Last night It was working perfect and about hour later nothing, it sounds like the cable is still attached and its trying to do something but won't open it and the trunk still opens with a key, I haven't opened nothing and that maybe someone had this problem before to help me save time. So any help is good
Thanks

Check on the trunk lid, there is a latch. In one position the latch only allows the trunk to be opened with the key.

possibly a
1)bad cable from the handle to the actuator
2)broken/frozen actuator
3)1 of the clips holding the cable in place along the floor in the trunk broke and is flexing the entire cable rather then the inner cable to the actuator
4)the tab that connects the cable and actuator is broken
Towards Ami, If I understand correctly you mean the key has been turned towards the left? If I remember correctly turning it to the right would unlock it and it would return to its rest position in the center no?

I just recall a white or yellow switch type thing, on the inside of the trunk lid. If it is not in the center position the trunk will only open with the key,

I beleive you are right. On the latch itself there was a kind of switch or something

the switch enables/disables "valet mode"... not that we ever had valet keys
