Hey guys! I have question regarding warranty as some of you know that i just bought s cx7 last dec and unlucky i had an accident this morning, some old lady hit me on the back so my rear bumper needs to be replace. So here's my question will my warranty be void if i didn't take my car to be fix on any mazda dealer? My insurance company prefer or recommend to go to a body shop that is accredited to them. Any ideas how to deal with this problem? Thanks in advance

You will be fine if you take it to where ever your insurance once

You can get your car repaired wherever you like, it will have no bearing on your warranty. You also do not necessarily need to go to a body shop your insurance company desires.

I won't go to my insurance companies body's shop. I pay enough for insurance, they can pay full price.

If you go to your own shop then your insurance company will not warranty the work once it leaves the shop... You go to a place they want they will warranty the body shops work

Plus. In my experience with other cars. The dealer isn't out to lunch on pricing. Had a dodge jeep and grand am all repaired at the dealer because the price was equal to other quotes

And I bumped a civic a few months ago and the dealer quote was $25 less then 2 other shops. And they did more things.

this will not have any impact on the warranty of the vehicle, less of course paint/ possible perforation warranty in that area if not repaired correctly.but the basic paint coverage in that area would now im sure not be covered from mazda but would be covered by the bodyshop who completes it or if any other items were damaged in the accident in which the insurance company should have replaced if so. you do not need to take it to the body shop your insurance company prefers, we have done work with assured in oakville before but like every dealer is different every bodyshop is also different. i have had my car repaired by assured in oakville before and i have been very happy with the work, i have also had my front grill painted my ACE atlantic collision in oavkille as well to which i was more then happy with.

this wouldnt be the beautiful CX-7 with the headlight condensation we had fixed recently :( let me know if there is anything i can do to help

Haven't been to that one. Had work done at Assured Leaside (TD approved) and have been happy with their work and communication to me during the process.
