I put the "4 doors + 2 tweeters in there because my questions has to do with the tweeters. I wanna replace the stock crap that comes with the car with my Infinity coax for the rears, and my Alpine Type R comps for the front. But here is the questions; ***note***I will be installing my kicker KX600.4 amp (supports both high and low freq inputs, so loc not required) as well, to drive all the speakers.

1. Since there are tweeters present, and my alpines come with a nice set of crossovers, when I swap out the speakers, how do I find the stock crossovers?
2. When I find them, can I disable the stock crossovers and just wire in my alpine Xovers?
3. Since I don't have the money for a head unit now, I'm gonna keep the stock one so should I get a reQ for more control of bass n treble?

That's all I can think of for now, and if you need to know anything to answer my ?'s, fire away ;)
And thanks!

I'm not sure where the stock crossovers are, although my guess is they might be incorporated into the tweeter themselves. If you're doing it all at once, the easiest thing is just to run new wires from the Alpine crossovers directly to your new tweeters, ignore the stock tweeter wire. Are you using the stock wiring to get the signal into the doors (driven by the amp)? Or are you running new wire directly from the amp to the speakers?

90% sure there aren't stock cross overs unless they are in the tweeters.
The stock tweeters clip in which makes me thing there's a little more to the wiring than shows.

2 good points from both of you. Im gonna be installing my hid's this weekend so I'll take a quick peek at the tweeters.

Gotta revisit the wire guide for my amp. Once I decide my game plan. I'll know more. But on my previous 3 I used the wires that go from the door to the speakers. Amp to speakers will stop at the mid columns and splice into the stock wiring from there.
If anyone has a more effective way to do it and save time, lemme know. I'll get backto ya Aitch ;)

That's the same way I did it on my last one, to save the hassle of running wires through the door jambs. So then inside the doors you'll use the stock main speaker wire to connect to your crossovers, then run new wire to the speakers and tweeters. So you don't have to worry about any OEM crossovers.

When I get around to swapping out speakers, I'm using all stock wiring this time as I'm not putting in an amp (can't be bothered). But I have inline crossovers for my new tweeters so I was planning on connecting them to the stock tweeter wire.

There is no crossover they are wired together with the door speaker in a way to only allow high frequencies, not sure how but thats how it is.
Use the wire coming from the front speaker and connect that to the input on the aftermarket crossover.
Then just run new wires to your speakers and your tweeters.
Something u want to consider is running all new speaker wire through your door harness, 75w per speaker wont go good through that crappy OEM wiring. ebay sell the wiring below, very good quality and very cheap

Hmmmmm good point ...... But like Aitch and i were saying, how do you get the "new" wire through to the door jam? It's tighter than a prom queens thighs with only stock wires so how do you get the thicker aftermarket wires through there?

You drill through or cut away some of the empty clips

Hey Thanks JayJay,
Not sure how close it will resemble the 2012's since this thread is from 05, but when I'm installing my hid fogs n lows this weekend, I'll take a peekaboo

Didn't get a chance to peek at the door wiring stuff. Got a good question though. . . . .
How the hell you get the interior deco door skins off the 2012's? I couldn't find one screw, clip . . .nuthin :?
