MS3 Bose Head Unit

As Far as I know, the 07 and 08 is only a 6 CD changer. Anything newer is 6 CD changer with MP3.
Are those direct swap? Means Can I just find a 6CD changer MP3 unit and plug directly into mine?

If yes, anyone selling their? :chuckle

If the MP3 decks only come in piano black, then you can simply swap your face plate cover with theirs and keep your car silver. The radios are direct swaps, but you need to ensure if your car has Bose that you buy a Bose stereo.

You can plug you iPod/mp3 player into your car and play it through the media setting on the dash. I have a 07 MS3 and I play mine through there.

2008.5 is actually when the mp3 was included in all trims as far as I am aware. You can just use the guts and use your old trim though it will still say 6 disc rather than MP3.

We know what you are talking about, but that's not what this discussion is about. This one is regarding the deck actually playing MP3s from a disc, not through the accessory audio input in the armrest.

I just thought someone would upgraded their and I get a used from some here for way cheaper :P

I even wanted to upgrade to the DVD unit, but too many project in my mind right now and $ is limited. :(

I'm pretty sure that the 2007 mp3 replacement option is between $400-600 dollars. The 2008.5 mp3 came with single disc mp3 option. I think the mp3/6 disc was an accessory option like the 2007 I mentioned and was priced over $500.

Just post a WTB thread... I managed to score a 6 CD mp3 deck for the wife for a very reasonable amount. All Canadian 08.5+ Speed3s have 6 CD MP3 decks.

I understand what you mean!!! my bad! GL finding what your lookin' for...maybe try to look for a smashed up '08.5 and see if you can tear the head unit out of there.
