Hi Guys,

Just got my AP few days ago and start learning these logging things. Advices are appreciated and pls go easy with the newbie.

Running Stage 1 + MS CAI + TIH 91 Map

Mods are CAI, TIP, Test Pipe.

Pressure dropped a bit in the middle as there is a car trying to cut in, so I let go the gas.....

Anyway.....pls comment.

Gotta do a full run, pref in 4th from 2500 rpm to redline or at least in 3rd.....though if in third make sure you don't have any wheelspin.

I suggest you add LTFT as one of the logging parameters as well (I didn't notice it there). And +1 to what Mr. Wilson said. Try to do a log when no cars are around... so you can get a longer log and be safe :D

Give it another try tonight....4th gear, slam it.....til the best I can....

I'm still a noob on this but I see the numbers aren't great? Fuel Pressure is up and down?............

you need a cp-e HPFP or upgraded internals.

or you need to take the test pipe off and put the stock pipe back on until you get an upgraded HPFP

That's what I think it would happen.

Mind to tell noobs like me where in the table you see the problem other than the Fuel Pressure is under 1600 (or 1700)? That's the only way how a newbie can learn reading the log by themselves.

From my reading and hearing from others, cp-E HPFP is around 750 or upgraded internals is about $300?
Other than the cost diff, what does upgrading internal do? HPFP is a must if going thru stage 2, so why someone would do the internal instead of HPFP other than the cost factor.

Thanks for helping.

graph it.... easier to visualize and see the massive drop in fuel pressure (done in LibreOffice Calc)

your fuel pressure dropped as low as 910 psi at 4720 rpms

your fuel pump takes a huge shit from 4000rpms to 5000rpms

there's nothing else to look at really

And that cause by the Test Pipe or other strong possibilities may involve as well?

Cos I may just pull off the Test Pipe for now.....Cash in really low right now as I just got my cobb springs and ordered the shocks.
I don't think I will step in further on stage 2 for now. If putting back the stock cat pipe would help, I think that's what I gonna do.

Thanks again.

the CP-e HPFP is put together and tested by APR. APR engineered their own HPFP tester to perform the break-in and verifications. (http://www.goapr.com/products/fsi_fuel_pump.html)

the decision of buying a cp-e HPFP or upgraded (KMD/Autotech) internals (then getting them installed and breaking it in yourself) is ultimately up to you.

How many KM do you guys break in after the Autotech internal upgrade? I hear 500km?
I m waiting to do another log once the break in period is over.

After I installed mine I contacted Autotech they stated to let the car idle until it is warmed up then they should be good :D I followed there suggestion and am holding pressure fine with BT.

When you do the install make sure you clean everything well with High octane fuel. I also put a bit of oil on the cam follower when i re-installed

Jimmy installed for me and he said my fuel pump is the dirtiest he ever seen lol....and he cleaned it out.
So far, I have an impression that the fuel economy is slightly better, I will observe more.
