Hey guys, I have a 2010 Sport GX, recently (about 2 weeks ago) my hatch door was stuck, it would not open at all. I left it for a bit and it somehow fixed itself, so I thought it was just a one time thing.

Well this morning when going to work, it happened again. So I took some videos for you guys and hopefully someone can shed some light on what's going on.

Thanks in advance!

Videos here!

Just getting out of the garage (drive way is a little slanted):

Check the yellow switch thing on the lock mechanism to see if it moved.

i think the issue with doing that is he cant open the trunk at all, but i could be wrong.

i say take it to the dealer, seems like a faulty latch. should be under warr

Never mind my post. I checked the manual and I guess that switch that was there for valet mode in the 1st gen no longer exists in the 2nd gen.

For the OP, if still under warrantly, I'd take it back to the dealership as gabbygenier has stated.

Well like last time, it fixed itself. But just to provide info, when it is stuck I hear this "cluck" noise from the rear door. The same one you hear when you open the hatch(not the initial "pop" when you press the black button, but the one you hear when you start opening it.)

Should I still take it to a dealer? I don't know how to replicate it.

you wouldnt really need to replicate it as i have watched the video :P it looks like from the first video before you got out of the car the "door ajar" light was on, like the door / hatch was open. almost like something was in the lock or maybe the lock was failing causing it not to open or for the car to realize its closed. first time ive seen this happen so far but let me know if or when you want to bring it in and we can have a look, working or not still would be interested to know whats going on.
