Anyone know if i need a new part? My window will always go down, but not up i have to repeatedly pull the button up until it works. Is the motor dead? Any idea on price or if its something I can fix myself. I don't hear any strange noises when it goes up or down.
Thanks All

Its either the motor or the switch. Check the switch first. Its easier/cheaper to replace.

if you have manual windows/locks, there's a clip behind the window crank, and then you'll have to unhook the lock. if you dont, just look around for screws. it's been a while since ive had a mazda3 door card off, but they're all pretty much the same anyways.
once you have all the screws out, pull the bottom of the card out first, then work your way up. then, just lift the door card out, unhook all your connections (if you have power windows/doors, and you're done.

Tokic_o had this same problem and his was the switch, so chances are it's the switch. He still has my test switch, so when I get it back from him we can swap out yours and see if the switch is an issue.

It's honestly super easy man, but you're right, I wouldn't want to risk breaking all my clips either :chuckle

You do NOT need to take the door apart to take out the window switch.
I can help you with this on tuesday or wednesday as it's going to be warm out and I have my test switch back.

Hey,
I recently had the same problem. I found out it was actually water in the connection "motor to switch". I removed the door panel and disconnected the motor, dried up the connectors and plugged it back it. Good as new. The door panel isn't too hard to take off. I think there are a few screws holding it in place. In terms of the switches, all you do is just put your finger nails behind the trim and pull up, the whole trim along with the switches pops right out.
Hope this helps,
Take Care,

I'm having the same issue. I read above but don't understand how to check, fix or replace the switch. Is there a walk through for this?
Thx

Bring back an old thread.
My passenger window will go down with the switch on the pass door but will not go up.
The switch on the drivers door works fine to operate the window, up & down.
n00bMeiSter you mention that I do not need to remove the door panel to get to the switch.
What is the trick?
I'd like to get this fixed as my wife won't get off my back about the switch.

Finally found a video that shows exactly what I need to do. Now to buy a switch and hope that is all I need to replace.
