Hey just did a quick search on this didn't find too much, thought it would be quicker to post and ask on her. Someone in my area has this intake posted on kijiji for a good price just wondering if it would work?

according to their website part numbers are the same except
gen 1- MMS3XCI
gen 2- MMS3XCI2

I have called them before for compatibility on other products and they told me the part numbers simply differ to keep track of gen 1 and gen 2 orders. According to what I see and what i know I would assume yes. However I would simply call them and ask

I would say do it. Worst case is you will need to do a Maf Cal which you should be doing anyway.

think i might go ahead , a little reluctant.. the guy wants $180 for the intake and it's 2 years old. Is that a good deal? On cpe site its listed $369.

did you call cp-e? if it fits just do it.
369+30-50$ shipping +50-100$ import

total 449-519
possibly conversion works out against your favor

for 180 just pull the trigger

Just make sure you clean the air filter before you install the intake.

In between this intake, or spending $100 more and getting the corksport SRI/TIP off their site

Installed the cai intake last night, had a little issue with firmest because the shifter linkage was hitting the pipe when I tried to put it in first . Rearranged it and it fits good now. Finally got an email from cp-e today saying the first gen and second gen cai is exactly the same

a lighter/smaller shifter weight would help. Either through JBR or MSpeed, we can set you up with a smaller weight for better fitment and crisper shifts.

Well worth it. Had one installed from MSpeed & I love it. Makes a big difference, my shifts are smooth & effortless. I say do it.

started my car a cpl times today cold... first 5-10 seconds i heard an unusual sound. Sounded like a loud blowing sound. Is that from the cai? and is it normal?

You should post it up. But did it sound like, "woosshh?"

Just started it but didn't hear it. It was a whooshing sound yea,

Then that's normal. :) Give it more throttle to hear it more then start shifting at 4000. You'll love it.

Lol opps I mean it makes the whooshing sound when I start the engine and the car is in idle.. After a few seconds it goes away and the intake sounds normal when I'm accelerating

Maybe that's just how the CAI is? How loud is it? Well, the engine revs at 2000 when started so I guess more air goes in, which means CAI works more. Plus it's close to the wheel well so I guess you'd hear it louder.

It shouldn't be a problem unless your car is stuttering and stuff.. :)
