Im running two amps in my car right now, one for subs and the other for mids/highs..Im noticing that since the installation my fuel economy has been suffering..is it just me or is this a result of the amps sucking more power from the battery?

Unless you're driving faster when the tunes are pounding, your amps drawing power from the battery should not affect your mpg.

Could be music-induced aggression, or your subs/amp are weighing down the car :P

Depending on what you've got it's probably the extra weight.
I added 300 - 400lbs of audio equipment to my trunk and mpg went to sh&t

Buy gas from Shell :)
I'm getting 50-60km extra per tank on regular gas

I went to Petro Can for 2 months and it went down. So I'll be driving a bit further down the road for Shell now :)

In theory a 'system' drawing more amperage will drive the alternator harder hense more power from the engine and thus could effect mileage. But that being said, you would need to be literally pounding the system constantly to notice a drop in mileage. I'd think the extra weight doesn't help but it may just be something unrelated all together. You should check all things practical first, starting with tire pressure.

If your fuel mileage really is as bad as you say, I'd look at other factors first. Tire pressure as said above and air filter are two super easy things to check.
