i recently got my alpine mrp m500 installed and its powering 2 jl10w6v1 (oldddddd ones) that were given to me from a friend. I want to pick up a pair of 10" subs that will hit harder than the ones i have now.. im guessing they put out around 150-200rms at maxx. The amp is rated at 300rms @ 4ohm and 500rms at 2ohm, any suggestions to make my car shake?

I am personally going to be ordering a custom sub from Fi Car Audio! I've read great thing about the Q series. It is meant to have amazing sound quality and hit HARD! Also, the idea of having a custom sub is very appealing to me as the FiQ requires a small volume box with will be perfect for the stealth box im getting and also you can customize it with certain features to allow it to perform in various applications. The site explain everything!

THIS

i had a pair of 12" type R's in my mazda, and they were stupid loud.
i went down to one in my GTI, and turned the amp gain waaaayyy down.
i powered mine with a MRP M650, for reference.

trust me, get a 12" sealed box (or ported, if that's what you prefer), and a single 12 R, and you're good to go. AND! you'll still have lots of trunk space left (one of the reasons why i went to a single in my GTI

i had an alpine type s, and a powerbase amp.
4 months later I was bored and got
an alpine type r, and an alpine amp.

much happier, and type r's can be had for some decent prices sometimes. I sold my extra one for $80 because I had to go back to london and someone picked it up within the hour.

i have a ported but i would like to try sealed sometime...my car does shake

the thing im most concerned about is the sound quality. From what i've read/heard, the type r is loud and clean..exactly what im looking for.
