Hi guys,

Once again i need your helpful opinions.
I am on a market in search for QUIET and Comfortable All Season Tires.
As most of you know, our cars do have lot of road noise, and one of the sources is having bad/noisy tires.
I'm not really a performance junky so it does not matter if performance is affected by a bit. :D
What do you guys recommend?
I've looked at Conti DWS, and i think they are great (light weight too and good treadwear :headbang) but a bit pricey ($800 for a package. balance, install, etc.)
I want to stay around $500 to $650 or much lower if possible.

thanks!

Light weight? does that really matter for tires?

I use Yokohoma avid ENvigors and they're amazing. I'm sure you'd love em, and sponsors are having them for sub-$700 all in with mounting, balancing, install, etc in 205/50/17 sizing.

For quiet and comfy, I would say Michelin Primacy MXV4 or Michelin Harmony.

They are both even more expensive than the DWS though.

I'm running BFGood super sport av/s all season. These tires were awesome till my camber wreaked them and now their loud.

Do your self a favor buy some camber kits then have them set at zero and then buy the new tires.

I just had the Micheline Primacy MXV4 installed on my car last week and the tire noise is very quiet. But don't get your hopes up thinking your car will be "silent", the wind noise over the car is quite loud still. The Michelin Harmony is pretty good too since my brother had it installed on the 2002 Honda Civic and it was pretty quiet. For pricing on the MXV4 I see that they are $660 w/install for P195/65/15 at Costco. There is a $70 rebate from Michelin now so please Google that to find when it's valid. I went to the US instead and got the tires for $515 + $75 install - $70 Rebate.

With regards to the Yokohoma avid ENvigors, I ran these on 17" rims and found them noisy at low speed in comparison to my stock Toyo Proxes. This could be due to the difference between 15" and 17"...

I have a used set of you're interested.
I haven't priced it out yet.

To be honest, I can't remember the manufacturer specs. LOL

It's not a well-known brand name. IIRC, it's a UK brand. tread pattern looks really good. EXCELLENT in the rain. Quiet and smooth.

I'll get more info on the weekend and post a thread. It'll be priced REAL cheap compared to the ones you're seeing new. PM me if you're interested in cheap used tires

The Michelin MXV4's were standard on my last car, a 2009 Honda Accord EXL. They were SO noisy I had to replace them with some after market Hankooks. A lot depends on the suspension geometry and the car itself. On Hondas the Michelins are very noisy. But to be honest, I really don't think the Yokohamas that came on my 3 are particularly noisy.

I believe the Accord came with Pilot HX MXM4's not Primacy MXV4's. Different tire.

I had a set of Barum Bavarius by Continental I believe. Great in the rain, cut through it like warm butter. And very quiet on the highway. Had em when I had my 07 3.

the Michelin Harmony are very good tires in terms of quiet and comfort, had them on an Accord for around 5 years now and still going strong through summer and winter, one of the best all around tires from personal experience!!

We have seen a lot of tires in our time, we distribute some popular brand names like Hankook, Michelin, Dunlop etc... But one tire that consistently asked by our wholesale and retail customers is the DWS from Conti. It is comfortable, you can drive in light snow conditions, works like a charm in rain, and feels planted in spirited drives for an All Season. On top of all of that, the treadwear rating of 540 should seal the deal. The modest premium upfront cost is made up for by its long life.

DWS for the win

Thank you for your inputs and suggestions. Appreciate it as always.
Might hold off in getting new tires since cash is needed elsewhere (car repair.)
