Engine clicking/tapping noise

So, at idle, my 2010 2.0L makes a clickling/tapping noise when idling. Well, it could be happening while I drive too, but I can only notice it when idling.
If I rev the engine, the sound speeds up.

Any clues? Will it be under warranty?

It could be many things. If the tapping is consistent with your revving it may be valves. If you rev up and the tapping speeds up and slows down at a different pace or slightly delayed it may be your intake runners. my runners in the variable intake were tapping as well, it sounds like valves but its not

well i'll take it in tomorrow. I don't have the tools/knowledge to fix this on my own lol.

I have a 2010 2.0L (5MT) as well, and I get this noise too at idle - but not all the time. Sometimes I think it sounds a bit like a helicopter and more-so from the passenger side of the engine compartment.

Let us know if you find out what it is.

Apparently it's normal. Or the guys at the dealership just didn't know what it was.
