We bought this car new, Jan. 2010.

A few months after we purchased the car, it would not start, dead battery.

The first few times we chalked it up to maybe my 18 year old son forgot to turn off the car properly or left an interior light on. We would jump start the car. It was very sporadic, weeks apart to months apart.

The past 8 months it got down to days apart. We took it time after time to Signature Mazda in Richmond, BC, where we bought the car. They would check it out, find nothing wrong with it, keep it for days at a time...I finally complained loud enough and they replaced the battery.

Okay I think we fixed it, wrong, it started again, it would die in the driveway, at the mall, at the gas station, we jumped started this car over 25 times, probably more. I had finally had it with the both the dealership and their poor attitude. I had to jump start it for the last time, pulled out of my driveway and it died on me in roadway after I made a turn, nearly lost control of the steering wheel.

We pushed it off the road and made a complaint to Mazda corporate office in Ontario. They sent a tow truck and towed the car to the Richmond, BC dealership.

It has been there since Jan 27th, 2012. I sent a certified letter to the dealership, Mazda Canada, and Mazda Japan.

Yes, someone called me back stating they are putting their engineers all over this. They have replaced the fuse box, and now the computer brain. Hoping to hear back from them this week? Their regional tech is working on it from the corporate office.

This is the worse car I have ever owned.

The dealership has since fired both their Asst. Mgr., a tech, and their head Service Mgr. Not sure if I had anything to do with that? I use to love Mazda, Can they make me believe it them again?

Stay tuned to the outcome.

* it has low miles, because we have been unable to drive it without fear of being stuck somewhere. This is not a safe car to drive at this point, especially with losing the control of the steering wheel.

Not really sure what the overall point you're trying to make except a good arguement for the use of paragraphs.

Sucks that its happening regardless. Hopefully they've fixed it. Is there any sort of Lemon Law that you can use?

No lemon law in BC. First time user, I want to edit the title, any suggestions?

Just re-read what you type, space it accordingly, and then click post.

As far as suggestions to your situation, it looks like it is being dealt with the only way it can be.

As for employees no longer being employed with your original dealership, doubtful.. this industry has a high turn over in all depts.

Best of luck with your car.

interesting, the story with your vehicle almost sounds like a customer we had here with the battery being dead and the vehicle being boosted but the battery was still testing good. at the end the BCM required replacement due to a dark current draw. best of luck!
