Does anyone have any experience with these tires? I think I saw one individual with them on here, but looking for more feedback on them.

I'm also looking to put on them on stock 17" snowflakes ... 215/45/17 size, ok? Thanks :):)

Ya I read that too ... I'm trying to decide between them and the Falken ZE912's ... I had 912's on my mom's Mazda6, they were decent tires ... but I'm a poor, poor student now.

not to side track your thread but has anyone heard of the talon triangle tires, they are pretty cheap but very limited information on them on the internet, hopefully a member can help.

Well ... not everyone can be a baller buying up $1000 tires and afford an iPod cradle to put their iPod in, let alone a whole box of real kleenex! I might even have to buy the off-brand, twice recycled 1-ply tissues ;)

Apparently they are ...

I'm still in consideration for the Falken's

I bought a set of Continental Barum Bavarius summers for my 07 when I had it last year....LOVED em. The day I picked up my ride I was driving home from teaching at the gym and the WHOLE SKY pissed rain down so hard I couldn't even hear my music even if it was turned up loud. People were slowing down, puttin their hazard lights on and pulling to the side of the road.....

and me?

My new tires cut through that rain like a hot knife through butter :D ....people probably thought I was nuts driving at 100km....it held the road tighter than ticks on a hound ;) ...and with all that rain coming down there was lots of pooling rain in areas on the highway. I did slow down for those but no hydroplaning whatsoever..And the ride is real quiet. Had the stock all seasons on before I bought these and I IMMEDIATELY noticed a diff on ride, noise, handling. I would recommend these to anyone wanting a good set of rubber for city highway driving. Can't comment on the performance side as that's a different type of driving.
Hope this helps

I had a set of Braum Bravuris 2's on my Golf (sold to buy Mazda), they were an excellent set of tires. They always felt very planted, lots of good cornering grip. The tread wear was reasonable, considering I tend to enjoy spirited driving. I'd defiantly put another set on my 3.

Barum Bravuris is an off brand from Continental. Its an amazing tire for the money, and IMHO can't be beat in the price range. You will be hard pressed to find anyone with these tires that isn't happy with them. European made vs Chinese as well. We sold hundreds of these and never had an issue.

The Triangle Talon is a cheap Chinese tire. I'd put them on par with the Wanli's and Sailun's of the world. They arent great, but they are one of the cheapest tires you can get.

I've got a set of them on my 2007 Mazda3 hatch, on the stock 17" snowflakes. I've had no issues with them, treadware is nice, they're not noisy by any means and didn't feel 'floaty' in the rain and seem to shed water well.

I've never tracked or driven extremely hard on them, but for a tire to get me from A to B and for the price, they're great.

generally any tire is going to be ok in the dry.
its mostly just the wet you have to worry about.

i had Falken 452's i think on my mazda. awesome in the dry, terrible in the wet.
meh.

if you're that poor, why not find some used tires? ive done that on my GTI and my mazda3, and never had a problem. then again, i have certain hook ups :P

Hi guys, I am thinking of getting the Barum Bravuris2 also. Got a quote from Tires23 for $540/set all incl. installed. 215/45/17. This would be for a '10 Civic Si. Reviews look ok so far, just dont know how well they will handle on hard cornering or how long they'll last.

btw Barum is apparently a Czech company acquired by Continental.

They corner well. Something like a V12 or FH452 will be stiffer in the sidewall, but these are worlds better than an all season. :)

Thanks

How is the road noise on these guys, particularly as they wear down?

The online reviews I have read indicate they are loud....which is a deal breaker for me.

I have a set of these on my 2010 MZ3 GT and I have done approx. 10,000 km's on them so far and they are just as quite as when I had them put on. The tires held up well on a round trip to the Florida keys and back. Approx. 5400kms. I have noticed with the early morning drives in the colder weather the tires get slightly louder until they warm up but nothing as bad as the Nankang's. I would give these tires a 4-1/2 star out of 5 for price and decent quality at a very fair price.

Hi -- I am considering a set of Barum Bravuris2 for my '09 Civic Si. You posted back in April that you were thinking about getting them....did you? If so, I'm really interested in seeing (since we have basically the same car and the 215/45/17 wheels as well) how you like them (or not)?

Thanx

I bought a set this past weekend in 225-40-18. I have about 300 KM on them so far.

Price is great, they seem to handle fine and are quiet....I did a highway run to Brantford and back, some of it in the wet.

The only negative I can say at the moment is the fact they don't have a rim protector like the stock OEM Dunlop 2050 did.....so i"ll have to be even more careful when parallel parking etc.

Hi there. I have a full set on my Mazda3 that I had installed at JoyCity tires. I am stunned at how well they perform for the price, especially in wet. Ran then about 10k now. Don't hesitate! I'll try to post some pics later.

I just want to add that these tires are definetly good for the price and perform quite well for what they are. Also want to add that if your looking for a step up tire that still at a relatively good price the general(also made by continental) as-03 is an awesome high tech tire for the price. Has features a step above the bavuris 2 like rim protector, more agressive tread, amazing in the rain and neat treadwear indicator

I ended up getting the V12's from the States since the price of the V12's were $97/tire http://discounttires.com/ ... $80 rebate if buying 4 ... just as a reference point I guess.

Got these from Allen/SimplyTire for my mazda5 a few months back, I had a nankang II before tharing them side by side

Wet : Barum Bravuris wins, I'm more confident with it on wet road than on a Nankang.
Dry : Nankang SII wins driving aggressively on a turn.
Noise : BB is quieter than the Nankang SII

Both are all seasons so I dont have to worry abot changing to witer tire too early or too late, just wait until it snows befofe I change.

I cant go back and edit my post?
Anyways to add to my earlier post, I got this about 10K km ago All 4 from Allen for a decent price a few $ more compared to NankangSII. 2 days after I got a flat on the driver side rear. I didn't notice immediately just the noise and when I checked the sidewalls are ruined from running under inflated/ flat. But aside from that problem I give this a thumbs up for the price.

BTW both the Nankang SII and The BB are unidirectional so you can only rotate the wheels front to back.

so after looking around on my budget. i found the nankang ns2 for cheap. saw the reviews and videos about the great grip and long treadlife of the chinese tire. i was a step away from buying the nankangs but i thought i might as well ask the people who ran the nankangs and get real people perspectives. after talking to a couple members here PEPSIGIXXER made me change my mind immediately to the barum bravuris 2. i think ill feel safer running these than the nankangs for the overall comfort and performance. i got a pretty good price for 215/45/17 by one of our sponsors. moral of the story, no matter how good something is said to be. theres probably something better. do your research! sadly.....i cant give a review on them now....because i wont have them on the car when i get the tires mounted.

I checked the sidewall its marked m+s (mud+snow).

silverstarmazda
12-25-2012, 05:13 PM
they dont really make "summer tires" anymore... unless your paying big dollar. most just mark them as all season "M+S" so they can sell them to a wider range of consumers. especially on the more budgeted tires. but most of these "all season" tires are meant for summer and useless in winter. thats why its suggested that you get dedicated winter tires.

yeah, pretty late response but google brought me here looking for reveiws on these tires. i just bout 18's for the car (will post pics soon, pretty nice wheels) and they came with these tires. The guy i bought from works at a mazda dealer and they were on his car. prior to that they were on a trade in and that's were he got them from. so as far as i know i'm the third owner of these tires and rims. tread isn't to bad i think one more summer 2014 and that's all. i put them on last night and took the car for a boot. ridiculous noise/vibrations especially when i start to push on the breaks. unblanced you think?? or could it be the lugs i am using reason because they are a lighter lug nut then average. i dont think the lugs are the issue because i was rocking those lugs on the gt rims prior and no vibrations nothing out of them (just the average road noise) what do you guys think it could be? again RECAP installed tires liast night ridiculous road noise and vibrations slowing down!! what to do?

hello i must bump to know this answer!!!

r4mi5awi
09-04-2013, 07:31 PM
a) they need to be balanced
b) you need hub rings
c) you need new tires
d) all of the above

Personally I'd just go straight to option d. Chances are you probably need a to c anyways. Also, if they weren't marked and mounted blind, you could be running front and rears on each axle which might cause some noise and vibes from the uneven tread.

Its definitely not the tires, I have them, bought brand new since May. Not unidirectional. They're loud but ride smooth!

jay93
09-15-2013, 10:53 PM
so i went in two weeks ago to a friend who balanced them on those road force machines and there ARE hub rings so that's a good sign! then been driving around ever since and those vibrations have gone away and the drive has improved significantly. The only down side it the road noise. I read reveiws of these bb2 over the internet and that is what everyone says about them! oo well problem fixed with a simple balance :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D::D:D:D

i have these. i find them to be fine. for the price i think they are good. mine will wear down next year sometime most likely and i will probably replace them with the same. i don't find them to be noisy. i ride with my windows and roof open and i never think of wheel noise... its mostly noise from elsewhere like cars, people, weather, etc

jay93

i have road noise. idk. but nothing can beat my winter tires. those things. OOO MAGAWD lol headaches but these tires are nice a little and i mean a little noisy in my opinion but i think that's with the car to. and one thing i must say about these tires is taht i have a ball in the rain.:d:d:D

Road noise is loudest I feel at roughly low speeds, give our take 20-45 kph. Highway driving not much noticeable. Definitely stuck on this brand indefinitely. My favorite positive is the fact that these tires got long tread life.
