Hi Guys:
I like the idea of having push button start on my new Mazda 3 2k12 sedan. I was looking at this kit: http://www.advancedkeys.com/Prod_AK104B.html
Overall, I know there is a perfect spot for the button, because it is the same place where it would be for the mazda speed or GT. Anyone know if this would void the warranty or have experience doing this on a mazda?

That's a really nice looking kit and idea with the RFID (I think?) key like high end cars.

Looks like a cool kit. The button's the exact same in our old Camry Hybrid.

It says on the site they use the Toyota/Lexus push button for their device so you're right about that.
The kit definitely looks sweet...wish I could justify one for my car :(

this is a nice kit, but you have to remember anything that did not come OEM on the vehicle when it was purchased and is replaced or has been installed with aftermarket non-mazda parts can void your warranty. id say more so with electrical because if you need to cut into wiring harness and such to install this.. you can open yourself and your wallet up if there is any problems down the road. be it electrical or something that could be related to the harness.
be on the safe side if your worried about warranty. dont do it. as they say.. youv've gotta pay to play.

Probably, but similarly to cars factory-equipped with push-button start, I'd assume you'd need to have the clutch pressed to start the car.

This is what I feared... sigh...Is it possible for Mazda to install this (what comes in the GT option)? How much would it cost if it could be done?
