I agree with him 100%, specially now that I found the hole on my 6 lining up directly with the oil filter, never understood why is it like that on the 3.

If Mazda could get away with sharing it between models, it would make sense (for them) to do so. It was obviously cheaper to share than to make new guards for each model / engine combination

Actually thats what I'm trying to say, in my 6 is done the right way, the hole is right below the oil filter not off to the side like in the 3 so they must have made a different mold for the 6, why not realize it was a flaw in their parts production and redesign the skip plate for later models of the 3. :loco
