Hi folks,

I hope I'm posting in the right area (I just registered today.) I saw a lot of old threads, but not with the info I'm wondering about.

I just bought a 2007 Mazda 3 GT a couple days ago and it looks like I have the sirius radio antenna. Seeing as how I'm never going to use the satellite radio, I was wondering:

1. What options are there for replacing it?
2. Which option is car-wash safe?

Thanks,

JT

Most of the guys go with a Sharkfin Antenna. I believe you can get one at Visual Garage. Located in BC Canada too :) . . . That way you don't get raped by the US gov for import tax, broker fees, HST and all of that fackn boosheit . .
IMHO they look great on the 3's ESPECIALLY on the 07's they are bout $55.00. and yes they are carwash safe only if I were you, take care of your baby and hand wash it. But if you "must" go through a car wash, do those new fangled "touch-less" ones ok;)
If 55 is too rich for you, then go with a stubby antenna, bout $15.00. Maybe one of the other members can chime in ad point you to one of our sponsors that sell em :)

Thanks for the reply. Normally I do hand wash/wax my cars, but in the winter I use the touchless carwashes, as I don't have a warm place to hand wash. The sharkfins do look cool, though. Do they come in all colors?

Yupper ;)
When ordering, all you have to do is provide them with ur paint code, and bobs ur uncle ! !
They are absolute matches as they stock all Mazda paint code colors

One other question. Is it ok to leave it without the antenna installed in the meantime?
