Can I fit my 6x9's?

Have a pair of Alpine Type S 6x9's laying around from my old car and am looking to squeeze them in my back doors of my 2011 GT Sedan. Popped out the existing speaker and tried placing the 6x9 in and the magnet seems to have room (big opening and the window does not come into play at all).

I know they say an oval speaker isn't as good as a round speaker but figured I'd give these a shot since I have them collecting dust anyways. Anyone already done it?

with some cutting you can make anything fit
but i would just get a new set of 5x7

I haven't done it with 6x9's but my 6 3/4 components were too deep so I made an adapter out of MDF.

But those will work for you!
