As of last night, my battery light was blinking randomly, and one other orange light in the gas-gauge cluster would flash on for a split second as well.
My idle would gurgle if I was at a stoplight if that light came on, but it's only happened twice. I'm bringing my car to Jimmy today, but was wondering if anyone had any ideas? The alternator/belt/battery are all OEM from 2007 and the car has 116k

MAF sensor/wiring issues.

Interesting, it matches what I experience pretty closely - I even throw the same CEL code. I wonder if Jimmy fixed it for Soyabean?

Fixing it requires checking your MAF wiring for rips and either getting a new harness or fixing existing rips in the wire, then you'll want to extend the harness so it has more slack because it comes really forced into a tight position from the factory causing the wires to pull apart as the engine moves inside of the engine bay.
I paid about $50 to have mine fixed up. Are you running an aftermarket intake?

Funny thing is, the MAF wires have snapped on 2 previous occasions already. The harness has long since been detached from the battery box, even before the 2nd occasion.
* 1st occasion, Westowne Mazda charged me $120 to have a single wire extended
* 2nd occasion, QEW Mazda charged me $160 to have 2 or 3 wires extended
So I get the car to Jimmy, surprise surprise, 2 of the wires have snapped. Only then do I have a chance to take a closer look at the handywork in light - it was completely butchered, tape and shrinkwrap everywhere. Thankfully Jimmy extended all of my wires manually and everything was ok again.
Thanks for the advice guys.
