I have a 2006 Mazda 3 GT. My old Factory Cd player is giving problems & I was looking around Future shop & here is what i got my eye on "Pioneer (DEH-P7400HD)" which is eqiiped with USB/MP3, CD Car Deck with iPod/iPhone Control, Aux Input and MIXTRAX DJ Effects. But here is the problem, a friend of myine told me that It might not be compatible to a 2006 Mazda 3 GT. So if anyone can give me more information weather this cd player is perfect for my car or recommand me a good 1 for my car i would greatly appearciate it.

Your friend is a joker. It'll be compatible you just need to have the harness for it and a trim kit to go around the area that your factory deck takes up.

It will work. There would be no reason why it wouldn't. It wont be a direct plug and play unit though, you'll have to get a wire harness, antenna adapter, single din faceplate and a steering wheel control adapter if you want to retain your steering wheel controls.

Good call on the steering wheel adapter - totally forgot about that. He's also looking at a double DIN I believe and not a single DIN.

I was talking to the mechanic at the dealer ship & he told me that if i want to install a Cd player, just make sure its 22RMS or higher. The factory cd player give amazing sound quality, but it keeps shutting off. So any of you guys know any Single DIN CD players with 22RMS? or can you recommend me 1 that you guys are using on your Mazda 3's and will sound great with my Factory Default Speakers on my 06 Mazda 3.

Most single DIN decks will pump ~52RMS per speaker so they will sound even better than your speakers did with the stock deck.
