Hey guys,

Car: 2007 Mazdaspeed 3 with 49,000KM and Cobb SRI.

Just wanted your opinion on the following:

1: When I'm driving in second gear (normal acceleration and not WOT) it feels my car bogs down a bit after it is in gear and I am driving in 2nd for a little bit unless I put my foot down (Say half way to WOT). Any ideas why this might be?

2: Also and I believe this is related to the ebrakes. When I go to pull out of my parking spot after washing the car and leaving it over night with the ebrake engaged my car feels stuck a bit and then when it does go I hear this LOUD BANG sound. I think it's related to a seized ebrake but like other's opinion and suggestion on what I can do to prevent this.

Thanks in advance.

The bang would be the pads releasing from the rotor's. As for the bog, no idea.

So i'm assuming it's because the ebrakes was engaged over night then. It typically happens after washing the car but also happens sometimes when I don't wash. Probably need my brakes serviced I guess. IS this bad for the car?

I wouldn't say bad. Normally it will happen at a shop or car lot. ie, I was moving a car that had the e-brake on for a few days, car wouldn't move until I really dumped the clutch. It just happens sometimes. You can get it serviced, but I'm not guaranteeing that it will fix it. It just means a little bit of surface rust has formed around the pads and makes them stick to the rotors.

Have something similar in 3rd\4th Auto. Posted a thread also. If MOD approves, I'll post the link here too.
