Hey,
So my sub only works when I brake or coast.
This happens randomly and then will eventually fix itself.
Any idea's?
I can post Amp/sub size when I leave school if needed.

loose ground?
check the connection to the battery?
check over all connections to make sure they are secure. Something must have come loose...

+1, obviously a loose connection. Although is it just the sub cutting out or all your speakers? If it's just the sub it should be easy to find the loose connection.

Check your connections to the sub first. There are probably 8 wires connected to the sub/amp. The enclosure probably moved around a bit and something disconnected and when you brake the wire reconnects again.

It's just the sub.
I check all wires from battery to amp to sub.
I'm pretty sure I'm forgetting the ground going from the amp to the car though.
Will check that soon.

Pull the sub out of the box and check the wires inside the enclosure

Could be the amp itself. I had that problem when it wants to work all by itself and cut out. Also just a little tip, double check the fuses for any movement. The one in the amp itself and by the battery. I know it sounds dumb but it can happen. Really odd.
