Let me just say that the service I received today at Budds' Mazda was exceptional as always. I know there are a few people who are a bit annoyed about the TM3 discount being no longer offered. I have to say regardless of the the discount, I will continue to service at Budds' Mazda.

As soon as I entered, I was created by Katie who served me with a smile. I did not have an appointment booked and I just walked in. She took my info and within a few minutes my car was in their shop and being worked on. John was also there today to finish of my service as Katie had stepped out for lunch. (hey, we all gotta eat!).

My point is this, regardless of what discounts that we are entitled to, I would gladly pay the regular price if I knew that I was getting a exceptional service visit. Discounts are only a minor deciding factor for me web I purchase goods or services.

Props to the Budds' Mazda team for continuing great service to all. I know that I will always be soon my service here.

Without this dropping too fast, I am happy you were treated well. They have a great staff.

For most it is not the 'discount', it was the total lack of communication when it came to their decision not support this forum.

I agree with you on that note. But this is for all who read this, the discount is gone so we new to deal with it. It woul have been nice to save a couple bucks especially since I drove from Brampton, but it wasn't. I still went there.

Just got my car back from Budd's. Dropped it off yesterday for the SSP87 program. Had the Timing Chain and VVT actuator both replaced under warranty. My experience was great one, Katie took care of everything and so far I have no problems with the car...no complaints either.

Customer service was top notch. I will definitely bring my car there again as one of my preferred dealerships! :thumbsup

find it odd you cant get through on the phones. mind you did you leave any voicemails that have been un answered? we have a full time receptionist and night reception as well, direct lines for employees, emails and andrew and i are on tm3, ( andrew is on holidays until next week). many different ways to get in touch with staff. Judy is here until 5:30 pm. call her direct line - (289) 291-8521

Hey Booter,

I was just curious. I called three times. Twice Yesterday (1:30ish and 4:00ish) as well as once on Wednesday. I didn't leave a VM as it wasn't important.

If it was urgent, I know that theres a ton of ways to get in contact with you guys. Not angry/upset or anything, I was just curious why I was "constistantly" getting an overly cheerful Voicemail Greeting :-)

My Fiance's Mazda5 has a dead Driver's door Lock actuator Sometimes its able to lock, but it never unlocked.

Would you be able to find out how much the part would cost? (2007 Mazda5 GT)

Booter22
07-26-2012, 11:19 AM
well we do only have judy in parts this week while andrew is on holidays, so if you didnt leave a voicemail it wouldnt have show you called. but if you call judy now she can get you some pricing. she may need the vin from the vehicle so if you give her a call she can help you. if you get the voicemail leave a msg depending if she may be on the phone and she will call you back as soon as she is able.

I did! Just this November. Very nice experience indeed. I had carcostcanada quote so no haggling at all on the car. It was them and Erin Mills which, as most here know is a completely opposite experience.

I highly recommend Budds!

Just went into Budd's Mazda today to get my 24k maintenance done. Experience there was awesome, John is a great guy, easy to talk to and answered all the questions :) I will be going back there for all my servicing as I am still under warranty (I want someone who knows MS3's to work on my car). They treated my car the way I treat it so I am extremely happy with Budd's Mazda. Thanks again!

very happy to have met you today and if you have any other questions please let me know. i look forward to the next service and i was very impressed by your car. actually i had a look at your lower mount and the only reason i didnt pick that one up was in the picture they make it look so thin but its much bigger then the picture online makes it out to be. that with the short shifter plate and weight it had a nice throw to the shift. ( i brought it in and set it up on the hoist) but i was quite impressed with what you have done so far and look forward to seeing you both again in the future!

I changed dealers when I moved to Mississauga and chose Budds as my "home" dealer now...Happy every time I go in there and the guys are always willing to help. I especially like booking in by e-mail/pm (sorry if that bothers you haha) and I even got one of those "we want to buy your car" signs last time I was in, but they probably do that to everyone!

Last month I bought a car from Budds Mazda when I was getting the car they gave me a little hassle and changed the prices on me couple times and didnt balance the tires even after 3 requests but I still ended up buying the car it was a 2010 Mazda 3 GT and today I went into my mechanic to get the tires balanced but the lock nut they gave wasnt for the lug nuts on the car. I did go back and they did install a new set . But living in waterloo Forbes mazda has been way better in quality and customer service.

I also learned that the brand new Tires that they put on very shortly before my purchase is impossible to balance correctly because of a fault in the tires do you think they would put on a new set for free?

Thanks

i believe if you are the same fellow who was in last night with the 2010 white GT sedan that we had installed the wheel lock set on. i would not be able to say yes we would be able to put new tires on. it looks like from the history of that vehicle 4 new uniroyal ( i believe tiger paws ) had been installed and balanced prior. but again the vehicle would need to be inspected to see if the tires are at fault or the rims or what may be going on.

If you would be able to pm me your details so i can confirm the vehicle and a date or time you would like to book an inspection and i will forward the information to the sales department to see what they may advise.

Thanks again to John for setting up my appointment and for Katie for providing great service.

stopped by the shop this morning during the middle of this snow storm for an oil change, they had me in and out very quick with a skeleton staff in (understandable with this weather). Got a great deal as well.

This reply might be a bit late for you, but I bought my 2011 Mazda3 GX from Andrew 2.5 years ago (back then it was QEW Mazda) and John and Katie have taken care of it since then. I'm not into daytime TV so I usually just wonder around and fiddle with the showroom cars while I wait :p

One time they even gave me a complimentary 2013 loaner for an entire week because they were very busy with other appointments and I couldn't get there on a weekday to pick up my car due to work. John is always willing to help, whatever the issue is. So far I have not even considered going elsewhere.

Anyone in the west should go see John @ Budds....He kills it every time. He helped me out of a jam this past week and was a pro the whole time...Gave me a loaner, updated me with what was happening with the car and had the service completed as fast as they could - not much more one could ask for when it comes to dealership experience.

I agree. I've been over to Budds twice so far. The last time, I had an oil change which took less than 40 minutes. When you compare that to almost 2 hours at another Mazda dealership, I was shocked and impressed. Sad there aren't many well run Mazda dealerships that operate at this level.

Unfortunately John Booth is not there any more. He works now for Hyundai. don't blame him. it's close to home.
I took a close friend on Saturday to test drive a new Mazda 3 GX. Sales Rep Mike Holguin helped us work out a good deal.
My friend ended up purchasing the car. Thanks Mike.
Myself, I still take my 2010 Mazda3 GT to Budds for service. No complaints.

Just wanted to say Budds' Mazda is my go to dealership for all my service. Purchased my Mazda at 401 Dixie Mazda and did my first service there, never wish to step foot in there again (had rewards to redeem toward the first oil change). Needless to say I choose to drive an extra 20 minutes to go to Budds' because of their friendly, fast, and fantastic service. They even have a window where you can watch your car in the garage and the staff are more than happy to chit chat with you.

You can always check how the Mechanics you entrusted you car with was driving, peace of mind -just in case there was an issue - you never know. I don't have mine set to run when parked, that would be kinda creepy to record video and audio in a non public place - then again there are security cameras everywhere these days. I'm sure the Customers are being recorded. In any case, it could act as a deterrent to any non-professional behavior. Not that I suspected any, Budds was a friendly and pleasant experience.

at budds there is a few security cameras for.. security but not recording what you are saying or how you are talking to the staff. in most to all places if a dash cam it is noticed recording when pulled in it will get unplugged. i wouldnt want to be recored while doing my job and i know my techs wouldnt either. regardless of the owner wanting to know whats going on. *noted* however it would be interesting to know whos within there right to do what. can the customer record a tech and it be authorized or would it be something the tech / company owner needs to be aware of and give authorization for.. but thats a question for another day..

here is a small story for you. way way way back in the budds days when the dash cams started off being the new big thing we had a customer who had one on and had it set to record even when the car was off to see what the techs would do and or say around or while the car was in the shop. it recored a tech "making fun" of the car, if memory serves it had some.. more then one not so practical mods on it. which he was recorded commenting about. customer went to the manager and the manager went to the car. long story short the tech was bitching about how the mods on the car was making his job more difficult which in truth customers should be charged more if it takes longer to set up slammed cars or do diag on cars with mods because it is not from factory and we now need to work around such mods. anyway. after that was explained the tech appoligzed to the customer if he hurt his feelings but in explaining such reasons and the manager then said something along the lines of " if you cant take the heat get out of the kitchen" where as if you mod something and someone doesnt like it.... its your car what do you care that a stranger doesnt like it??

anyway. moral of the story. if you dont want to be recorded doing your job, dont think other people want to be as well. some people will unplugg or find a disconnect for it so you can not record them. others are very offended and may make statements that you can hear that you may not like. in the shop. there is not a filter on discussion topics or language... believe me. ( just like you or anyone else and there coworkers )

Security camera is only good for the immediate premises. What if something happens on a test drive? Coincidentally there was an article on jalopnik a few days ago about mechanics abusing a customers car.

My dashcamera records 24/7. When I first got it, I would check everything. And on one occasion I did find budds techs goofing around (nothing out of the ordinary). Now that the novelty has worn off I rarely, if ever, review my footage.

I still go there for oil changes, and my most recent visit (like all the other ones) was excellent and expeditious.

Booter22
08-06-2014, 11:49 PM
lol techs goof off.. really? naah dont be serious! cant be true! say it isnt soo :P zzz3 yea there is a few videos. one i have seen about a mustang and the guy was driving around in first with the customer to redline. now you dont really know what the issue is and it doesnt say if there is a tsb out to do that for that car for a carbon purpose who knows.. but the rx8s have a few tsbs about taking it out for some red line spanking, and not all rx8 owners know what anything about 3k rpm is.. or mustang owners.. ( if you have been behind more then one these guys all seem to drive them the same :S )

but sometime the reverse happens. had a customer in about a month ago for a rear end noise recheck after we did front end bearings. we couldnt make any noise happen at all. customer came back today. road tested with the tech. customer drove and was racing this geni around like he was on the track saying see see that noise.. the tech said.. yupp thats why i didnt hear it. i wouldnt drive it that way. the tech owns a z06 vette so its not like he doesnt know how to smack a car around from time to time. belive me, people will come in for an "itermit noise" as written up with the advisor when going over bumps, uneven road or pot holes. now lets add a dash cam and post the video of the tech hitting every pot hole and man hole cover and anything else to try and make the noise happen without saying anything except "look at how the tech was driving my car" or noise at high rpm. its hard to say the tech did it wrong when most of these videos dont say what it was there for to start with. now yes i agree what is said some times i dont aggree with the " im going to beat on this car " this car sucks. blah blah blah. but that needs to be taken with a grain of salt that im sure they dont go kill it like they stole it. but sometimes the commentary is not needed..

LASTLY.. take into mind that the videos show how a tech may need to drive the car to duplicte an issue that doesnt say why it is even being looked at to start BUT doesnt show how these owners are going out and killing there own cars. i know its different but still. cant complain about some "aggressive" driving when you are beating the snot out of the car on the daily. i know it happens and to me.. thats just not a fair way to say "look what he did!" but im a perfect driver..

ramble ramble sarujo #racecardriver

Jackal you better believe all of the interesting things happened there. ;)
zzz3 same thing with my go pro. i have it on the bike in case i need to use it if in an accident. or if we are going somewhere with purpose.. or if something interesting happens. but out of 10 10 minute clips there may be 3 worth while to save. post them on youtube to watch and delete them off the camera.

Cheers Booter, I also finally got the driver side window rattle fixed after 3 years. I wasn't happy about being quoted on what should've been a warranty fix a long time ago and pleaded my case until Steve agreed to take care of it.

It was a bit of a struggle, but everything worked out in the end.
