I find that the gas pedal on my 3 is very sensitive and the car takes off with a small amount of pressure down on it. Is there anyway to adjust the pedal and possibly raise it higher?

Poke a few holes in your exhaust piping.

your lucky, ive become use to the pedal and find it a bit slow. not sure wat might be wrong but since we use an electronic TB u can try to unhook your battery, wait a couple minutes. then re-hook it back on and c if thatll do anything

yeah, i've been trying to and it gets better but there will be the occassion where i accidentally press down too much and the car leaps forward lol not very good for gas mileage

TB = Throttle Body.

i think the mazda 3's in the Philippines had the cable operated throttle bodies didnt they? anyways, its probably just the computer compensating for something or another...

me? nope. This is my first car actually. I used to drive my dads old 94 Tercel for years lol. That thing had a 90 HP engine (no joke) and u had to literally floor the gas pedal to get it to go lol and even then there would be a delay before it actually accelerated. Driving that thing on the highway was scary lol. I just love the power on my 3 and I feel so much safer in it

Unfortunately there is no way to adjust the pedal response in these cars.

yeah i wish there. i think i had my drivers seat a little closer to the wheel than I should. I decided to pull it back a bit and its easier to keep my foot lightly on the pedal now
