All subjective. Deep dish looks cool. But it depends on the application. If you are going slammed it would look cool.
deep dish on a stock height ride looks a little off imo, but it really is all up to you. whatever you think looks good, you don't have to justify it to anyone

it's hard to get a proper "deep dish" look on a mazda 3.

^ I will agree with this.

Although, If you check Dave's signature, you'll see that it's definitely not impossible.

depending on the style of the wheel....deep dish wheels can actually look 'smaller' in diameter and the opposite of a full face no lip wheel appearing 'larger' in diameter.
if you have a modest drop, i say full face
if you're going slammed, like others have said above, dish can take some work to look good - but once you get it right it looks great like BMXER's ride

That's how I cheated lol. My wheels have 16" faces.

Color me a critic, but I personally find 3s have difficulty pulling off most aftermarket wheels...Now I am really only interested in mesh w/lip or OEM+ look so it's hard to warm up to other options but from what I've seen so far...meh.

If you ask me I think My car with a lip on the rims pulled off well.
Starforms, rota d2's both have lips.

Sawatsky, your wheels are awesome. And don't let anybody else make you think other wise! haha

Haha I am discussing generalities, not your wheels...

A bit of a lip looks great (I'm not a fan of flush spokes), but I can't see anything deep looking so hot on a Mazda3.

Yeah a bit of lip and five thin spokes would look great
