Anyone able to find a spot inside the 2010 Mazda3 to attach a compass? Have been trying with no success. Compass is affected by the magnetic field or metal inside the car.

The 2010+ with nav has one built in :)
Otherwise, roof?

I don't think you understand how roofs are built.

The entire car is metal basically ;) A lot of factory compasses (not in mazda's) are attached to the headliner at the front...
Why not get a Donnelly rear view mirror with built in compass. I had one in My subaru and it worked great. I don't need one in The Mazda as the JVC navigation head unit I installed has a compass.

Attached to the bottom of the rear view with double sided tape.
Personally I don't need one. I'm a real man. Lmao. Jk.
Either way. I think your talking about the small globe type ones. If so that is probably the best area.

Thanks for the suggestion. That is one spot I haven't tried yet. Will try it tomorrow.
Also thanks for all the other replies. Just want to go low-tech to have a quick reference without pulling out the GPS.

you could always get the auto dimming compass mirror accessory... looks nice, adds to the value of your car... functional without tacky addons plastered all over your interior

I already have the auto-dimming mirror with the rain sensor. No way to spend that much money to do a $1 compass function. If low-tech doesn't work then it doesn't work.
