I was wondering this , you know when you shift fast , like from first to second gear or what ever and the shifter goes straight from a gear to another you don't feel anything , but my main question was when you shift from a gear to another slow , like when you're relax , is it normal to feel like the syncros or what ever in the ShifteR?
Like , especially when i shift slow i can feel everything as I pass from a gear to another , and was wondering if this is normal or what ?

Push the clutch farther down and you probably need the rpm in a different range.

Im not a dumbass and I've been driving my car manual for 8 years and my car for 3 years now , but when i shift slow like going first , neutral second , but slowly i feel stuff in the shifter , u know what i mean?
like instead of throwing the shifter from gear to gear fast , i go slow , but i feel gears in shifter .
I know i sound crazy but i was wondering if it does that to you guys also , cause I can't see everyone with MZ3 forcing the shifter from gears to gears all the time , I mean some of you must shift slow sometimes cmon !

The syncros are aligning the gears when you put the clutch in. If you go to slow and the shifter is not fully in gear (aka the gear connected to the output shaft isnt fully in the gear of the speed you selected) You put wear on the syncros and the force may cause vibrations - kinda like abs

I understand that part , but what im saying is
for example , you drive in first gear , CLUTCH IN , take shifter from first gear to second gear slowly (feel stuff in shifter) , Put in second , release clutch slowly and give gas as you let go the clutch .
I know how to shift man im not a newbie!
But its the first car I had that I feel like the ''mechanic'' in the shifter as I shift thru gears!

Yea, thats because you're moving the shifter too slow. Also it could be because these are linkage shifters and not cable shifters. linkage shifters bring more feel thru than cable

yeah its linkage , but linkage sucks man theres to much feeling thru the shifter that sometimes it ****s me up and I almost think im not shifting properly
I think the problem is that it's hard to understand what you are saying when you're typing it out. It would probably be easier to explain in person.

The thing is I don't know if it is normal or not , but I mean I shift properly man , I don't burn the clutch I don't drop the clutch I mean you sit in my car and I shift and it would be smooth shifting for you but the thing is , when I shift I feel like the mechanic of the transmission IN the shifter , like my previous car , I would shift and thats it , but my 3 right now when I shift I feel Stuff in the shifter

I wasn't calling you a dumbass. I feel the same thing, and gave you options on how to fix it. Don't like it then your sol.
There is also a writeup on how to adjust the linkage to feel better but I really don't feel like searching it.

Wait... ours are linkage shifters like Hondas? I thought ours were cable shifters? I'm so confused!
(Also, the reason you don't feel it when you quickly move it into gear is because you're applying more force. Regardless of how quickly you do it, unless you double clutch, your synchros are eating the speed difference. The only time you really make a difference to synchro wear is when you double clutch. I always double clutch from 3 to 2, and when I get it just right, it slides in with almost zero friction. Heavenly....)

Its ok, i understand what you're talking about. I actually was worrying about it a bit the other day... But then again I think that I have a lot of transmission problems.
Usually when I grab the knob to shift from 1-2 (slowly, not in a rush) and I get some resistance/vibrations/feedback in the shifter, its more often than not accompanied by a rough shift into second (soft crunch or grinding) unless I double clutch. It doesn't happen every time either (which is why I'm not at the dealership right now trying to get them to fix it under warranty). I know theres something wrong with my transmission but when I took it to mazda they pretended like they didn't notice anything. They also didn't notice that my RMM was completely ripped in half (even though i asked them to check it). Changing the RMM helped a fair bit, but the problem is still there =/

mine is a 2010 gt 6 speeds with 102 000 km .
Like I said , I feel vibration and stuff in shifter when i shift slowly , if I slam the shifter I wont feel anything , but I don't drive like that unless I want to go fast or have a little bit a fun ..

Make a video and post it to youtube. Get somebody to aim the camera so it shows your shifting plus the dash/tach/speedo and your feet doing their stuff.

It's ok now , thanks peep .. I have 2 Manual cars and driving from one to another ****s me up since both clutches are totally different .
I talked to a buddy of mine and he told me his car is even worse than mine , so I tried it and It's true .
I want to keep my car the longest possible so I changed my way of shifting , I used to shift fast all the time ( still do but less often) , but now I changed to shifting smoothly and that is why I was feeling ''vibrations, noise, grinding'' in the shifter and it drove me crazy.

I get what OP is saying like Cabo0ze I have a similar feeling. Like Peterm said try searching the shifter adjustment linkage video and trying that, I found that helped a bit.

There is a tutorial either on here or Mazda 3 forums.
Use google advanced search to search this site.
