Good day!
Just a noob question: What are the effects if I have different tire profiles for my front/back wheels? 215/50/16 for the fronts and 205/55/16 for the rear wheels. Please don't flame me for my epic noobness. :D
Regards!

Sidewall, and circumference are larger on the 205, width is larger on the 215

Will it break anything on my car if I insist on using this? I know there will also be a difference in height since the 215 is a bit low compared to the 205.

Rolling diameter is only 1.7% different. So your front will be 0.4 inches lower than your rear. Shouldn't "break" anything.

Not sure you want to mix and match. Your likely to mess up yoor ABS and/or DSC.
I wouldn't do it.

the 215 and 205 measurements on your tires have nothing to do with the height of the tire itself, but rather the width of the tire. Your second number is the tire profile - aka the one you should be more concerned with.

It shouldn't really matter since we have FWD only and the specs are relatively close for the tires sizes you have listed. For sure you can not run different tires sizes on an AWD car. Obviously if you can get 4 of the same sized tires, it would be better, but nothing is going to "break" lol. And it would be better if you keep the 205/55/16's in the fronts since that will keep your odometer and speedometer accurate (stock Mazda 3 size) and the 215/50/16's in the back (if possible).
