I've been having tons of problems aiming my headlights. I've read the threads, followed the instructions, and it just doesn't seem to work.
I've tried both adjustment screws on both headlights. They seem to do nothing. Actually the passenger light does raise a little maybe about 3 inches before it drops back down.
As I was attempting to raise my lights tonight I noticed that the line made by my lights is only coming from the passenger side. I think my driver side light is basically pointing downward.
Here are some pictures. Sorry taken on iPhone.

I'm parked level. The line is about 15" off the ground. And I'm about 10 feet back from the garage.
Either way. I'm looking for someone to help me or someone I can pay a small fee to do it for me. Preferably next week during the evening.
Thanks alot.

Quick "?"
What did you do that would require you to "re-aim"?
Reason I ask is that if you removed your bumper/ and headlight housings, maybe the housings weren't seated when you put em back in?
Just trying to eliminate possibilities here...
Worst case here if u get no offers is to wait till you have to bring it in for servicing n get them to do it... Talking like 15-30 min labor? Small price to get rid of big headache IMO.

Hids and a drop on coils. I've actually had the problem for over a year but never got around to it as I lived in the city and it didn't make a difference. They do not blind people so I was not worried.
Everything is seated properly as far as I can tell, and I've never taken off the bumper.
Car going in for service may be a while seeing as I do all mechanical work myself. Thats what pissing me off. I can change shocks and springs but can't adjust the damn headlights. If I were to get service it would be from a sponsor but frankly do not want to waste their time with this.
Worst case for me is to wait until I get a system installed and have them do it.

Send McGuyver a message. He'll fix her up pronto. Maybe you can go there, or you can connect at a meet....I've seen him adjust these things in minutes and at night lol.

If you're saying the adjustment works but then drops again, chances are the aiming bolt or whatever it is, is stripped and you may need to replace the whole thing.
Are you sedan or hatch?

Sorry just got back in town.
My cars a sedan. My thought was the bolt as well. Actually all 4. Just hoping I was doing it wrong.
I'll probably just pm mcguyver and see when I can go to him. Unless you know anything about these adjustment bolts?
It seems like such a dumb thing. I can install coils, LEDs a do all my own work on my car. But I can't adjust headlights.

The cutoff looks fine and level, which is weird considering the shot that shows a burst of light pointing at the ground. Are your bulbs seated correctly?

Ya they are seated correctly ( took me about an hour the first time to figure it out)
The light that your seeing is basically the passanger light. If i were to cover the driver side light the line would be almost the same. The lights are WAY out of wack.
Im pretty sure the lights in general are pointing mostly to the left. When driving down the highway i can clearly see the center median horsintal to the front end of my car. It shines like the day time.
They are VERY low in general.

I don't mean to thread jack but I'm having the exact same problem. I have an 05 sedan. Installed HIDs yesterday and the left beam is basically pointing down while the passenger is pointing straight(or slightly up)
I was turning the outer screws on both lights for hours but saw no noticeable change.
I heard there is another screw in the middle though. Maybe that will work ?

The driver side is supposed to be slightly lower then the passenger side.
I still havent gotten mine fixed. Waiting for a good time to meet up with a few members to give me a hand.

I'll help you for free.
If the problem is that the bolts are pooched and there's no easy way to replace the bolts, I have a second set of sedan headlights I was going to use to put angel eyes in. I'll sell them to you for the amount I paid for them.
And I'll help you change them out.
