Better picks to come to really show just how NICE the install is.

Speakers are not broken in yet and sound fantastic.....to all of the people saying the tweeters are too bright...NOT true. Nice warm sounding speakers.

The head unit is absolutely amazing.

Damn man!! Nice clean install indeed.... Me like :thumbsup
***Almost forgot to ask... Did you get that adapter thing that attaches to the back of the unit that allows for full use of steering wheel audio controls?

I decided against it because the head unit comes with a remote control and 99% of the time I use the head unit anyway. It would have costed about 200$ if I went with PAC(from futureshop) or 100$ with metra (through amazon)

to me it is not worth it.

Best amp out there is a bold statement.

Clean install though.

@ dave the bmxer lol there are many many amazing amps out there, very bold statement indeed, but obviously it is only opinion :P

if the unit didnt have a remote control i would have considered it more. later on down the road i'm going to install the cable to APP radio. THATS gonna be cool!

Looks good, very clean look! what do you guys think about audiodvdgps -qualir stock looking units?
http://www.autodvdgps.com/8-inch-dvd-gps-player-bluetooth-ipod-with-digital-touch-screen-monitor-for-2010-2011-mazda-3-p-2950.html

im thinking about getting this ^^^ or 113GTs Pioneer unit. Pioneer is much more expensive :( , the other unit is more stock looking, more features but I dont know about the reliability?

Well there is not much thinking about it. You either spend the money or you don't. You want a quality unit you buy the Pioneer. The other unit definately will not be built with quality electrical components, which will lead too inferior sound quality most definately, amongst other things....reliability being another.

you cant compare the 2 models....one is a flagship model from pioneer and the other is a knockoff brand.

I am not saying the knockoff is bad but the 2 units are in 2 completely different categories lol....

my advice...spend the 300$ more and get the pioneer.

Very nice system! I am considering this head unit too.
Is the bluetooth as good as the original? Since you didn't install the steering wheel module, I assume the bluetooth steering wheel buttons also won't work?
One more question. Can this unit display unicode song tags in other languages? (like japanese, chinese, thai, etc?)

The bluetooth is as good since it is a parrot unit. Parrot makes very nice blueotooths.

Bluetooth steering controls will not work, even with the module.

No idea if it displays it in other languages.

looks nice man.

lets not get too quirky on your equipment being the best of the best, looks like you just went to futureshop and got what was on sale lol. for the same money you could have gotten a better sub ;)

hows the head unit? I haven't looked around since I got mine 2 years ago, but I hate the laggy/shitty interfaces on the high end units... way behind the technology curve

i had a Alpine MRP 250 (i think), and i replaced it with a pair of high end Memphis amps. the difference was night and day.

im entitled to my opinion, obviously there is better, there is always better.

headunit - not on sale but bought at best buy

speakers - not on sale but bought at best buy

sub - paid $100 for it with the enclosure....what better sub with an enclosure is there for $100 that i dont have to buy online??

amp - not on sale but bought at futureshop

don't make statements based on assumptions please. i bought all my stuff locally and from a bigger name for warranty and ease of just going back for the warranty. already dealt with a warranty at futureshop for my first system and it was painless....

as far as the headunit, it is really quick and responsive, when you are bringing on a menu or a song list and browsing through folders, it is reallt quick to load but while it is loading, it is jerky....i dont really know how to properly explain it so ill take a video.

not sure, my buddy did the install but i think i remember him telling me there was a grommet, like a hole with a cap, where the manual transmission stuff would go..but since i have an automatic, there is nothing there so they ran it there i believe..

Very clean install!

Everyone is going to have opinions on equipment. The energy sub you got is one of the best bang for the buck subs out there, many people look at them and laugh but what they can produce for the money is very good.

That alpine amp is good yes there's better yes there's worse but as long as your happy with it, that's all that counts.

Enjoy it, and don't crank up the speakers to loud at first, let them 'burn' in, you will thank me later.

yah the energy sub is awesome, cheap in price but pumps out really amazing sound and can handle alot of power, alot higher than what it is rated.

how long do i have to wait before i can crank it up and what level should i play them at now??

When I did sales(now installs) we used to run twice of what it said it could handle on the sub without issue, I don't recommend it but we never blew it and had it pounding for a while.

I was always told a month, but usually a week is fine. I never had the patience to run it low for that long, and never had problems with anything. Just run it at a moderate volume.

How strong is that sub? Enough to shake the car? (rear view mirror and mirrors?) just curious

it vibrates the rear view and side mirrors, and packs a pretty large punch. I don't have it set very high cause I don't like a bass heavy system. The gain is at minimum and bass booster is at 0 and you can still feel it.

very nice sub, seriously. Its really underrated in the market.

thank you sir!

maybe i havnt set it up properly before but after messing with the settings, they sound fuller. Better mids which were missing before.

I have them crossed fairly low, 50 hz and they take it very well. my hpf is set at 50 hz on the amp and hu and gain is a little bit above minimum. for the lpf it is set at 100 hz i believe to keep the bass nice and punchy and the gain is set at minimum.

i havnt properly set the gains yet though since i have no where to do it without pissing off my neighbours lol.

Wanted to also mention, MORE POWER is better then LESS POWER. your amplifiers run more efficiently as you do not have to drive them as hard to get the output you want. Keep your gains down if you are running more power then what is spec'd for the speaker. I was running a zapco 9.0 modded with upgraded burr brown DAC's and power supplies to 1 13w7 at 3500 RMS. took it like a champ for several years without issues.

Here is what i call a basic install in my old RX8. 2 x JL 10W7 DLS A6 Mono Amp / DLS A4 for front end. Pioneer Corrizerra P9 and DEQ9 head unit and processor directly from Japan / Rainbow Platinum Components upfront. Very simple setup but sound phenomenal.

I had a alpine mrp-450? I think.. I went from that to a 1400.1 Phoenix Gold Tantrum...I will put that up against your Memphis amps and the Alpine mentioned in here :) .

Really clean install though!
