HIGHLINE Motors
2416 Wyecroft Rd. Unit 7, Oakville.
416-830-6015 / 289-775-648
The shop is just 3 weeks old. Large garage with well maintained equipment. The mechanic used to work for a Mazda dealership, his partner does detailing and restoration of headlights and such.
Got my oil and transmission fluid changed. Along with a check on suspension to make sure everything is nice and tight.
Also installed my CPE Rear Motor mount installed there.
Its nice to have a good mechanic closer to home.

any discounts for tm3 members? :p
Went there this morning for my rear shocks and mounts install. Great service and great people really worth the drive. I'll definitely be back for the detailing package.

Had my oil changed and cabin filter changed today by Sem.
It was a bit of a drive from Toronto but I appreciated Sem going over the details of what needs to be done to a vehicle with 150K on it. Knowing that a former Mazda mechanic was checking the car also gave me some assurances about his knowledge of the vehicle. He showed me the worn items on my car and was upfront about the cost of repair. Highline will do work on Saturdays by appointment only.
I will be back. :)

Hey all,
I wanted to inform members on TM3 that I am no longer operating at Highline Motors. Thank you TM3 for your patronage.
Thanks,

I heard from someone that Sem and his partner had a falling out. Without Sem there, Highline is of zero value to me.

See above, Sem himself said he would no longer be at Highline. As well, Highline is no longer affiliated with TM3.
But thanks for the update anyway.

Sad to hear, they were close to work and had a great shop. Hope Sem can open up shop on his own, come back to TM3 and I am sure quite a few people would go back to him for service. He seemed like a great knowledgeable guy.

I won't go into details but Sem ripped off a member here before leaving highline motors. The owner of the shop himself was surprised by the abrupt departure.

yea I was thinking the same thing....
Are there any other decent shops in west mississauga / oakville ?? Taking half a day off work to drive 1.5hrs to Jimmy's isnt very reasonable. He did good work (though I didn't appreciate his refusal to provide a receipt), but it's just waaaayyyyyyy too much of a hassle with my new commute. I was actually planning on having my 48k service done @ highline this weekend until I read this :\

I've taken my wife's car to Sil's Auto in Mississauga, and have been quite happy with them:

They are on Royal Windsor near Southdown.
(My 3 still goes to dealer as it is under warranty)

Not bad, very close to my house. Definitely will make a note of this shop next time I need some service.
Side note: Sem is gone but that doesn't necessarily mean highline is incapable of providing quality service. Anybody been there recently and would like to give their 2 cents?

Yeah I'll give Nick a call and see if he is still doing detailing.
Other side note: Sem seemed like a decent mechanic, but his motto was stock or walk. He didn't like modified cars, and found it difficult to answer questions related to modifications.
