Keyless Question - Lost my remote need a model number

Lost my factory keyless entry remote over the weekend looking to order a new one.

I have an '04 hatch and the seller is asking me for a remote model number?

Does anyone know the model number for the remote? Apparently every year used different model numbers and even different models in the same year.

Or where I could locate this so I can order a new one?

Contact Flipdaddy (TM3 name, not his real name) at Mazda of Toronto.

He works in the parts department, if you have your VIN he should be able to find the correct remote for your car.

You have bigger problems if it was your last remote. You will need the dealer to program it for you since you don't have any spares and it's not cheap for the work that is actually done.

Make sure you buy the right one too otherwise it will be useless. Definitely talk to Flip.
