Hi,
Is it possible to install an aftermarket unit but still have the accessibility of the INFO button? I really like having all that info handy. Thanks.

Search! Search! Search! Please search.
The simple answer is no. You have an option though. If you search you will find it. :)

I've seen someone here installed an aftermarket unit in the ash tray, while keeping the stock look. Is that the one you are talking about? The problem with is that the person installed just the audio deck; I would actually like to have a big display so I can have GPS capability as well. But looking at your answer, it looks like it would be a no :)
Thanks.

Not well enough but that's okay. The ash tray install is a completely different thing.
Basically you lose the toggle between the options for then info but you can select one of the settings (current L/100km/KM left, etc) and keep it as long as you don't disconnect the battery, otherwise you will have to do the process all over again. When removing the OEM deck do not disconnect the LCD at any point. Then just connect the new deck and it will retain the setting you selected before removing the stock deck.
Here is one of the many threads about it.

This only works for years with the LCD harness separately. I'm pretty sure it's 2006-2009

If your installing on a 2010 putting an aftermarket deck in does NOT interfere with the info button.
If you want to keep your volume controls and track selection you'll need a steering wheel controler.

Thanks for the info. I didn't know about the newer models. OP has a 2008 though. :)
