Ticking noise coming from rear/ passenger side of the motor???

hey everyone i just bought a used 07 mazda 3 gs automatic with about 88k on it and i was wondering if the ticking noise coming from the engine is normal in all mazda's ? i have gone to a couple of dealerships and asked the dealers to turn on and listen in on their vehicles and they preety much sound the same? should i be worried is this normal or should i get it checked out. if anyone can help much appreciated :)

Ticking noises have been reported before that we're coming from the intake manifold. I believe the problem was caused by the VVT actuator and something about the butterfly valves inside the intake manifold.

Hopefully someone who has had this problem can provide you with more information about it. You can also search it, there should be lots of info about it.
