shouldnt draw that much power where itll render the socket useless.. iver hooked up 3 different electronics through the socket just to see if itll work. (iphone, gps, spotlight) wat kind of lighting are you trying to achieve? when do u want the lights to come on??

hmm... are they by any chance the neon tubes from dollarama? lol. for that kind of lighting u want to have a constant power source (ie the socket). i highly suggest you use the led strips cause they dont draw as much power, last longer, smaller, wont break, and wont explode if they do break. you will want to remove the cup holders, then the knob trim, remove knob to make it easier, and unscrew the ashtray out. then after that i think its a matter of pulling really hard, gently. this is where youll find the positive and negative wires to the socket. dont pull too hard were youll yank ll the wires out, there isnt much slack in the wiring. you can then tap the positive and negative wires to your lights and add a switch in between somewhere. the switch has to be before the lights or else youll have one light always working. i whipped up something for u, BUT CHECK with everyone else here too if i got it right. im not responsible for anything that happens...unless its success lol
