Buying one tonight.

I'd prefer to have SD card slot and HDMI out, but then again its only $200. I'm sure the profit margins are slim already for such a capable device.

I have the Google phone (just ditched the iPhone craze) and it's ok so far. A bit on the slower side compared to iOS but that's the OS problem I guess. I like how it's very customizable, you can pretty much do whatever you feel like. I haven't fully understood android yet but it's going great so far.

With the quad core on the Nexus 7, I'm sure it'll be a lot faster than the Nexus. On top of that, Jelly Bean is coming out soon as well so everything should work out better. :)

Go for it. We have the Acer A200 and paid about $300 for the 16gb one. It has dual-cores and runs IceCreamSandwich. I love it!

I believe Google is subsidising the Nexus 7, sort of like how xboxes and ps3's are sold for less than the cost of making them. They're counting on the Google Play store to make up the extra bucks.

My cell phone outperformed the blackberry playbook, so in the $200ish price range, go for the android products.
