Reckless MazdaSpeed3 driver does 200km/h on Quebec roads!

I am in awe by how stupid this individual is. Complete disregard for everyone else on the road.

Many of us know (and respect) the dangers associated with speed and understand how things can go wrong when fast cars land in the wrong hands. Just ask the three wannabe racers in this video, as these morons decide to take their MazdaSpeed3 out for a top speed run... on the public roads of Quebec.

Seems these fools were so proud of their giggling high-speed antics, they couldn't wait to show it to everyone. The not-so-smart driver decided to post the big feat on Facebook and YouTube for all of us (including the cops) to find. Based on some local Quebec forum board chatter, it won't be long until police knock on their door with a few questions and a shiny pair of handcuffs.

Luckily these unskilled bozos didn't hurt anyone else during their dangerous drive, as a few close calls would have had them crash into a deadly ball of flames! You decide if that's a good or bad thing.

Agreed on the first part...I don't care if you do 300 on the highway at 4 am when it's empty, you're only putting yourself at risk, but in rush hour? In the words of Chris Rock, that's just ignint.

As for the second part, I've never been to QB but I've heard they're all nutjobs. Seen a couple of truckers from there do things with an 18 wheeler that should never be done. Apparently the guy infront of mr speed 3 was also a heavy-footed individual as he was flying at a good speed and cutting people off too.

Yup. The regular 3s I think, are capped to ~185kph. The speed3, maybe a little higher...

A regular MZ3 will go well past it's electronic limit...that just slows the acceleration once you reach that # as far as I understand. I've seen a 3 do just under 200

MS3 can go to around 208km/hr (from what I heard from US forums, I did not attempt, lol). Once off the limit clock, max on MS3 is about 250km/hr.

I do not want to under this speed unless I'm on a plane or train.

Some kid pulled up next to me in a Toyota Camry, occupied with his friends. He was initially bumpering me then decided to pull up next to me as if he wanted to race. I just looked at him, laughed and shook my head.

He wasn't done yet...proceeded to tailgate me once again as I was driving on the left lane, then he decided to overtake on the shoulder lane that's in the middle of the road. SMFH. I just wished a cop had caught him atm, he was clearly speeding during rush hour, 50 over and racing. I just don't get it, what's the point..all this to impress a bunch of guys?? Lmao..a Camry to besides!

The Speed3 isn't limited at all... It'll do 250+km/h easily. Mods will dictate how long it'll take to get there. :)

When a car company rates a car for a certain speed, the car is designed for that speed. It has brakes and tires that can safely carry the car at that speed and back down to a stop without any drama. Speed3 is very stable at high speeds.

When cars are limited at 180km/h, it's usually because they sell with tires that are rated for that speed, and usually the brakes aren't anything special. (Not saying the car is specifically limited because of the tires and brakes, but it's a byproduct of their decision to limit it). The engine can definitely, in most cases, carry the car beyond the limited speed if it weren't capped...

That being said, those kids had a death wish....

the ms3 is only limited by gearing and the power band at higher rpm's.... she'll do about 260 if not a little more for modded ones that extend the powerband higher in the range

yea, i was wondering wat out cars are limited too. ive done over 200 on an empty strip ( closed course, f*ucking huge and straight) and i was astonished by how fast my final speed was(205? probably lower). then again i didnt have anything in the car, anyone in the car, and was basically on empty.... the road was also slightly down hill too... my teacher also mentioned something that he found wierd about my mazda 3 that i thought were all the same for every other mazda 3. something about it not having a limiter? im sure it does, but it just kicks in later. hows that for a grocery getter lol.

Working a job that requires 24hr service I'm constantly on the roads. Even at 4 am. I see this or hear a story from one of the tens of thousands people in the gta that do night time service work on at least a weekly basis, how some tool going 200+ on the 407 nearly killed them. ( actually 2 tools racing, going so fast I couldn't even tell what the cars were. )

And come on. Have you seen how many people don't use lighting systems in the gta.

If you want to do those kinds of speeds. Take it to the track. It will be me you end up killing.

+1 its never safe on public roads unless its closed for just that type of thing. and even if its closed youll always have that human factor. if something could go wrong, it probably will.

Reminds me of the incident in Richmond hill... racing on Yonge street just north of elgin mills. No headlights, killed a couple going home from their anniversary... left their kid parentless.
